Bird Of The Year is cool, but if you're in a temperate zone it means you'll never get a summer visitor (assuming you always declare the bird in January), which is a shame. Anyway: just wanted to say that I enjoyed the post!

i thoroughly enjoyed reading through your blog! i've read Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle and i'm excited to read his other works eventually, plus Ursula K. Le Guin's works too. i LOVE the idea of a bird of the year, so i might do that with bugs because i love bugs :) happy new year!
